This study aimed to determine the presence of antibodies against Neospora caninum which caused abortion in sheep in Van/Gevaş. For this, after the owners notified about the abort of sheep visited the owners sheepfold. 80 sheep which had aborted until the 16th day were included in the study. Blood samples were collected from the jugular vein for diagnosis. RBC, HCT, HB, RDW, PLT, WBC Neutrophil, Lymphocyte and Eosonophil levels were determined. Serum was obtained from the blood samples and the antibodies against Neospora caninum was determined by the species-specific ELISA assay. As a result of absorbance values; 72 negative and 8 suspicious values but in spite of that there was no positive value. As a result; in light of the findings; Due to 8 suspicious results although no positive value, the Neospora caninum can be found in the 80 sheep which had aborted in Van/Gevas. Regarding the issue, protection and control practices should be carried out in the region.
