Today, residential areas are growing rapidly and developing with technology. Establishment of wastewater treatment facilities has an important place in urbanization. Determining the location of these facilities, reducing the possible damage of wastewater to the environment and solving the problems encountered in these facilities are an important factor in terms of livability of cities. When the causes of the problems encountered in the treatment plants are examined, it is observed that this situation is sometimes caused by errors in the project phase and sometimes from operational errors. Due to the mistakes made during the project, construction and operation phases of the treatment facilities, the desired effluent qualities are sometimes not achieved or the operating costs may be higher than expected. Therefore, it has become an important issue to determine and develop the issues that need to be considered during both the project phase and the operation phase. In this study, the problems encountered in wastewater treatment plants were mentioned and information about the solution methods and suggestions obtained as a result of the researches was tried to be conveyed. It is hoped that the recommendations made here will be used as preliminary information for future treatment facilities.
