Özet

This research was carried out during 2000, 2001 and 2002 in Van, Turkey to investigate the relationships between yield and some yield components of 16 oilseed rape cultivars (Brassica napus ssp. oleifera L.) by using correlation and path coefficient analysis. The results revealed that there were statistically positive correlation between seed yield with the number of branch (r=0.219 **), with number of pods per plant (r=0.424 **), with the number of seeds per pod (r= 0.247 **), and with 1000-seed weight (r= 0.161*). Number of pods per plant, 1000-seed weight and number of seeds per pod have-shown a considerable direct positive effect on seed yield. Positive direct effect of number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod and number of branches per plant was associated with significant and positive correlation with seed yield. These yield components suggested good selection criteria to improve seed yield of rapeseed breeding.
