Prof. Cesim Temel

Born in 1969 in Van, Turkey, he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in his hometown. In 1988, he completed the preparatory year in the Department of Physics Engineering at Middle East Technical University. He obtained his bachelor's degree in 1994 from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, followed by a master's degree in 1996 and a doctoral degree in 2003 from the same university’s Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Mathematics.

Between 2003 and 2013, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. He was promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Analysis and Function Theory in 2013 and to Professor in 2018. Since 2013, he has been serving as Chair of the same department and, between 2015 and 2025, held various academic administrative positions, including membership in the University Senate and coordination of Education and Training programs.

He currently holds a faculty position at the Faculty of Science, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, where he continues his academic and research activities.
