Özet

Organic animal production is an alternative production system aimed at protecting and improving the environment, animal and human health in a sustainable way. The production and marketing of organic animal production in the world has not been sufficient progress yet. However in the recent years there have been increases in organic animal production volume in Turkey as in the EU. The highest progress was realized in organic poultry industry in Turkey. In this paper, it is examined present situation of organic animal production in the world, EU and Turkey and focused on the opportunities for development.
