Abstract:The research was carried out to determine the yield and technological properties of some chickpea cultivars grown in limy and alkaline soil. The study was carried out in 2017 on a land belonging to Van
a randomized complete block registered by 12 chickpea varieties according to the experimental design in Turkey. In the study, yield characteristics such as plant height, number of branches in plant, number of beans per plant, yield per unit area, number of seeds per plant, weight of seeds per 100 seeds, wet weight, water intake index, ash ratio, wet volume, sieve test and baking time. According to the results of the research; plant height 31.70- 39.50 cm, number of branches 4.10-9.76 in the plant, number of beans in the plant 12.26-19.56, biological yield 319.30-466.06 kg / da, first bean height 15.33-20.70 cm, number of grains 10.43-21.43 plants per plant, wet weight 67.10-84.76 g, 100 grain weight 31.66-38.96 g, water uptake capacity 0.26-0.46 g / kg, water uptake index 0.73-1.20%, ash content 3.83-6.00%, protein 18.16-23.00, wet volume 157.33- 174.66 ml, sieving test 5.06-8.10 mm and cooking time 61.33-73.00 min. It was also found that the majority of the properties examined were significantly influenced by the properties of the varieties. The highest grain yield was obtained from the Hasanbey variety with 162.83 kg / da and the lowest grain yield
was obtained from the Azkan variety with 111.73 kg / da.
