Özet

This study was carried out in Hizan district of Bitlis province, in order to determine some soil proporties of some local walnut gardens by soil and leaf analysis. Representing the study area, soil sample taken from 0-30 cm and 30-60 cm depth of 20 walnut gardens, and leaf samples taken from the same trees were analyzed. In soil samples (pH, CaCO3, electrical conductivity, texture, organic matter, available phosphorus, total nitrogen, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese and copper) were analysed, also, in leaf samples (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu) were analysed. The results of analysis of leaf and soil samples were compared with the limit values, and some soil proporties problems of the examined gardens were tried to be determined. According to the results, it has been found that the soils of experimental area were sandy clay loamy in texture. The soils did not had salinity and carbonate content problem. It was determined that almost allof the soils reaction is slightly alkaline. Fifteen percent of the soil contains very little, 60 % of the soil contains little, 25% of the soil contains moderate organic matter. It was also found that walnut orchard soils had sufficient levels of magnesium and iron as 80%, phosphorus and copper as 90%, mangan and zinc as 20%, nitrogen as 65%, potassium as 70%. According to the results of leaf analysis were determined phosphorus 10 %, potassium 25%, magnesium 40 %, iron 15%, calsium 10 % and zinc 85% as insufficient levels of minerals, Mn and Cu were sufficient levels.
