In this study, the state of wastewater treatment facilities in the Yozgat province of Turkey was explored, and upon collection of samples from the facility outlets, problems encountered in the facilities were evaluated on the basis of the results of sample analysis, and solutions were proposed. To this end, five urban wastewater treatment facilities, five industrial wastewater treatment facilities and thirty constructed wetlands were examined. It was found that the samples received from five industrial wastewater treatment facilities operating in different sectors had values below the standards which specified in the Water Pollution Control Regulation of Turkey (WPCR). In the analysis perfoimed in constructed wetlands located in towns with different population sizes, it was ascertained that they stood idle because of erroneous construction, wrong selection of plants, devastation of plants by animals and the absence of maintenance staff
