Özet

Many diseases are encountered when the care and feeding conditions in reptiles cannot be fully fulfilled, that is, when their natural environment cannot be provided. For this reason, it is necessary to understand its anatomy, to know its natural environment and to have knowledge about the diseases that can be formed. Respiratory disease is commonly diagnosed in captive reptiles, and is a major cause of morbidity and mortality.For reptiles, although the respiratory system has a simple structure, it is a suitable environment for disease factors due to lack of care. For this reason, bacteria, parasites and fungi in reptiles can cause respiratory system disorders. Respiratory disease is commonly diagnosed in reptiles, and is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Although all species of reptiles are susceptible, most commonly, chelonians and snakes present with acute or chronic respiratory tract disease.In reptiles, which are anatomically different from other species, the respiratory system also differs in many ways. Since many reptiles do not have a diaphragm structure, respiratory system diseases without symptoms such as coughing and choking may seem like a big problem, but in fact, they can be solved with simple precautions and treatment principles.The purpose of this presentation is to help better identify emerging new exotic pet medicine has an important place in the infrastructure and to resolve a lack of information for the reptiles against disease and treatment principles to be formed in Turkey.
