Bu araştırmada, Düzce İl’indeki mobilya üretimi yapan işletmelerde iş kazalarını etkileyen faktörler ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bunun için 27 işletmede anket uygulanarak, 100 işçi ile röportaj yapılmıştır. Böylelikle işletmelerde meydana gelen genel iş kazaları ve işçilerin yaşamış oldukları iş kazaları üzerine mevcut durum tespit edilerek, bunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, iş kazalarının genelde işyerlerindeki elverişsiz ortam koşullarından, tasarım hataları ve sistem aksaklıklarından, insan faktörüne ait yetersizliklerden, eğitim ve denetim eksikliğinden ya da bütün bu faktörlerin etkileşiminden ortaya çıktığı tespit edilmiştir. Büyük ölçüde insana ait görünen bu faktörlerin yanında, iş ortamında bulunan stresleri de dikkate almanın, neden - sonuç ilişkileri açısından önemli olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.

In this study it is aimed to determine the factors that affect the industrial accidents in the furniture manufacturing companies in the province of Düzce. In order to does this study an interview and surveys have been done with a hundred different workers in the twenty-seven different company. By doing so the current situation of the general industrial accidents and the ones that are experienced by the workers is determined and with the data derived it is tried to find suggestions on solutions for the industrial accidents. As a consequence of the research, the industrial accidents were seen to be generally resulting from the inadequate workplace conditions, the designing mistakes and system inconveniences, the inadequacies resulting from human factors, the inadequate training and controlling or the overall interaction between all the inadequacies stated above. As well as the factors seen to be resulting mainly from human factor it is also found significant to take the stresses that are present in the workplace into consideration in order to set a cause and result relationship.
