Abstract

Pyrazole derivatives, particularly fused ones, have garnered significant interest for their diverse biological activities, especially potential anticancer agents. Despite the existing body of research, pyrazolo-pyrazinones remain underexplored in the literature, lacking reported methods for achieving high yields in synthesizing pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrazines. Our study uniquely addresses this gap by investigating the reaction of the pyrazole ring with hydrazine hydrate, an uncharted pathway. This direct ring closure reaction, not previously explored, adds a novel dimension to the synthesis of pyrazolo-pyrazinones.
