Özet

Mandibular retrognatisi bulunan iskeletsel sınıf 2 hastalarda fonksiyonel çene ortopedisi uygulanarak çeşitli apareylerle mandibulanın öne doğru büyümesi yönlendirilmektedir. Bu vaka raporunun amacı, iskeletsel Sınıf 2 maloklüzyona sahip bayan hastanın twin-blok aparey uygulaması ile fonksiyonel çene ortopedisi ve sabit ortodontik tedavisinin sunulmasıdır.

Olgu: Kronolojik yaşı 13 yıl 5 ay olan, herhangi bir sistemik hastalığı bulunmayan bayan hastanınmuayenesinde konveks bir profile sahip olduğu, sınıf II molar ilişkisinin ve artmış overjetinin (+12 mm) bulunduğu belirlendi. Sefalometrik analiz sonucunda hastada iskeletsel Sınıf 2 maloklüzyon (ANB:9,5 °) olduğu saptandı. Şikayeti profil görüntüsü ve çene ilişkisi olan hastaya 10 ay süre ile twin-blok apareyi ile fonksiyonel tedavi uygulandı. Kooperasyon sıkıntısı bulunmayan hastada fonksiyonel tedavi etkisi ile mandibular ilerletme sağlandı. Devamında sabit ortodontik tedaviye geçildi ve hastanın sabit ortodontik tedavisi 2 yıl kadar bir sürede tamamlandı.

Sonuç: Kabul edilebilir estetik profil, ideal overjet, overbite ve Angle sınıf I ilişki elde edildi. Hasta tedavi sonunda düz bir profile sahip oldu. Hastanın estetik beklentileri karşılanarak hasta memnuniyeti sağlandı. 

Objectıve: The purpose of this case report is to present the functional jaw orthopedics and fixed orthodontic treatment of a female patient with skeletal Class 2 malocclusion using twin-block appliance.

Case: A female patient with a chronological age of 13 years and 5 months, no systemic disease, have a convex profile and class II molar relationship and increased overjet (+12 mm). As a result of cephalometric analysis, the patient was found to have skeletal Class 2 malocclusion (ANB: 9.5 °). The patient with complaint profile image and jaw relation was treated with a twin-block appliance for 10 months, and functional treatment effect mandibular advancement was achieved in the patient who did not have cooperative difficulties. Subsequently, fixed orthodontic treatment was started and fixed orthodontic treatment of the patient was completed in 2 years.

Conclusıon: Acceptable aesthetic profile, ideal overjet, overbite and Angle class I relationship were obtained. The patient had a flat profile at the end of the treatment. Patient satisfaction was achieved by meeting the aesthetic expectations of the patient.
