Özet

In this study, we examined the association between an ACT-based psychoeducational program and adolescents' levels of hope, happiness, and resilience. The study was conducted among a total of 56 high school students in the 2022-2023 academic year. The study was performed using a six-group Solomon experimental design. The experimental groups, created depending on the study participants' Acceptance and Action Form-2 scores, received eight sessions of an ACT-based psychoeducational program. The placebo groups participated in structured movie-watching and discussion activities. The control groups were not assigned any activities. The study participants’ hope, happiness, and resilience were evaluated using Integrative Hope Scale, Adolescent Happiness Scale, and Child and Youth Resilience Scale, respectively. The data were analyzed using two-way factorial ANOVA within a Solomon design and ANCOVA (secondary analyses). The primary analyses based on the Solomon experimental design did not yield statistically significant group-level effects. In contrast, secondary ANCOVA analyses controlling for baseline differences indicated adjusted post-test differences across some outcome variables. Nevertheless, these findings were considered exploratory and should be interpreted cautiously within the Solomon design framework.
