The guitar instrument was often used for singing before being accepted as a solo instrument in world schools. It is known that this naive sound instrument has the potential to form a perfect sound bed to accompany human voice. On the other hand, there are many voice and piano works in the classical art music of the west. In Azerbaijan classical music repertoire, so many pieces like this are found. The researcher is of the opinion that some of these works may have a different aesthetic approach and interpretation when it will transcript to classical guitar. In this study, Azerbaijani composer Tofiq QULIYEV’s Qizil Üzük, one of the folk songs written for Bextiyar film soundtrack, is discussed. During the adaptation of the piano part of this piece to the guitar instrument, the researcher try to put the technical and musical characteristics of the guitar on new edition. The original structure of the work was kept intact and it was adapted with observing the rules of harmony. In order to create the new edition, the work was rewritten in the note writing program in accordance with the guitar notation. Before the presentation, the transcripted version of the work and piano edition would be took samples and compared. It will be played in order to understand the correct presentation of the changes in work and alterations will be described exhibited during adaptation.
