Medeniyetin doğup büyüdüğü Türkiye coğrafyası, toprakları üzerinde hüküm sürmüş çok sayıda kültürlerin mirasına sahiptir. Bu mirasın gelecek nesillere aktarılması, Türk tarihi ve sanatı açısından büyük önem arz eder. Uluslara ait kültür, sanat eserinde bulur kendini. Dolayısıyla sanat eserleri ulusların gelecekteki rotası olmasının yanı sıra, varlığının da kanıtıdır. Bu bağlamda bildiride, Batman Müzesi’nde bulunan bir grup yüzük incelenerek, sanatsal değerleri gün ışığına çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Takılar, farklı iklim ve dönemlerde gelişen el sanatlarının narin bir kolunu oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle tarih sürecinde takıların, daha çok ilkel topluluklarda yaygın olarak kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu durum, ilk dönemlerde takılara daha çok yüklenen sembolik anlamlardan kaynaklandığı düşünülmektedir. İlk evrelerde takılar ve önemli bir grubunu oluşturan yüzükler tılsım, sihir, büyü, uğur ve nazara karşı koruma gibi amaçlarla kullanılırken, daha sonraları statü, zenginlik belirtileri, hediye, güzel görünme ve simgesel mesaj gibi amaçlarla da kullanılmıştır. Anadolu coğrafyasında takı kullanımı, avcılık ve toplayıcılık döneminden Neolitik Çağ yaşam biçimine kadar gittiği araştırmalardan anlaşılmıştır. Günümüzde de bu geleneğin, Anadolu insanı tarafından devam ettirildiği görülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın konusu olan yüzükler, Batman Müzesi’ne satın alma yoluyla kazandırılmış eserlerden seçilmiştir. Eserler, yapımında kullanılan malzeme, form ve bezeme unsurları açısından değerlendirilmeye alınarak, bütün yönleriyle tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma, diğer geleneksel sanatlara ve çeşitli bilimsel araştırmalara hem literatür hem de altyapı olarak kaynaklık edeceği öngörülmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra, Batman’ın kültür birikimine bir katkı sağlamak ve bu alanda çalışacak arkadaşlara bir temel oluşturmak en büyük arzumuzdur.
The geography of Turkey, where civilization was born and developed, has the legacy of many cultures that have ruled over its lands. The transfer of this heritage to future generations is of great importance in terms of Turkish history and art. Cultures that belong to nations find themselves in art. Therefore, apart from being the future route of the nations, the works of art are also proof of these nations' existence. In this context, a set of rings which is in Batman Museum will be examined and their artistic value will be tried to be brought out to light. Jewelry creates a delicate branch of craft that develops in different climates and periods. It is seen that particularly in the historical process, jewelry was used widely in primitive communities. It is thought that this situation originated from symbolic meanings, which are mostly attributed to them in the early periods. In the first stages, jewelry as well as rings, which constitute an important part of jewelry, were used for purposes such as charm, magic, luck and protection against evil eye, but later it was also used for purposes such as status, wealth statement, gift, looking beautiful, and symbolic message. It has been understood from the researches that the use of jewelry in the Anatolian geography started from the hunting and gathering period and extended to the Neolithic life style. Nowadays this tradition is still being practices by Anatolian people. The rings at stake in this article are selected from the artefacts that have been acquired by Batman Museum through purchase. The artefacts are introduced at all points by being analyzed in terms of form, decoration components, and material used in production. It is thought that this work will be a source for other traditional arts and various scientific researches in the context of both literature and foundation. In addition, it is our greatest desire that it contributes to Batman's cultural accumulation.
