Bu çalışma, Sosyal Bilimlerde okutulan matematik dersinin hâlihazırda bu ders hakkında ön yargıları olan öğrenci kitlesinin, ders hakkındaki görüş ve düşünceleri ile dersten beklentilerini belirleyebilmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, YYÜ İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi İşletme Bölümü’nde öğrenim gören 100 öğrenci üzerinde yapılmış ve öğrencilerden kendilerine sözlü ve yazılı olarak aktarılan soruları cevaplandırmaları istenmiştir. Öğrencilerin verdikleri cevaplar belli puan aşamalarından geçirilerek nicel veriler elde edilmiştir. Daha sonra elde edilen bu veriler Eviews 7 programına aktarılıp, programdan grafiklere dökülerek sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sonunda, öğrencilerin matematik dersine yönelik son derece karamsar bir tutum ve kaygı içerisinde olduğu belirlenmiş ve bu doğrultuda bazı çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur.
This study was carried out in order to determine the opinions and thoughts about the course and from expectations of the students who already have preliminary judgments about the course of the mathematics course taught in Social Sciences. The study was conducted on 100 students studying at YYU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Business Administration, and students were asked to answer the questions that were communicated to them verbally and in writing. The answers given by the students were passed through certain points and quantitative data were obtained. Then, these obtained data were transferred to Eviews 7 program and poured into the graphs of the program and the results were evaluated. At the end of this study, it was determined that the students were in a very pessimistic attitude and anxiety towards the mathematics course and some solution suggestions were presented in this direction.
