Özet

the global population, is characterized by erythematous, scaly plaques, with its aetiology remaining partially elusive. This disease significantly impactspatients' quality of life and is associated with various comorbid conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and psoriatic arthritis, yet lacks adefinitive, long-term cure. The recurrence of psoriasis and its variable clinicalmanifestations have led clinicians to seek alternative treatments, with geothermaland hydrotherapies emerging as supplementary options within health tourismalongside conventional treatments. Turkey is known for its abundant thermal andmineral waters, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 102°C, particularlyaround the Van province, where tectonic activity has given rise to waters rich inions such as Ca+2, Mg+2, and HCO3 -. These waters are popularly believed to treatskin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, atopic dermatitis, and rosacea. Despitethese beliefs, scientific research on the therapeutic benefits of Van'shydrogeological and hydro mineral resources for skin diseases remains limited. This study aims to scientifically assess the efficacy of Van's geothermal andhydrobiological resources in treating psoriasis and explore the region's potentialas a health tourism destination for skin disease treatments. The significance ofinvestigating Van's subterranean and surface water resources extends beyondhealth benefits, potentially positioning the region as a key site for healthy livingtourism and developmental growth.
