American artist Gordon Matta-Clark intervenes in architectural objects. The artist chooses the current one instead of doing so. His choice of what is made reminds us of Marcel Duchamp.
Architectural object is an asset of a design, but they are also industrial products, in other words, tech- nical object. The case of such an object transferred to the status of art is readymade. The works of Matta-Clark, which we can call large-scale sculptures, are transferred to our day with the elements such as photography, film, video and pattern.
It will be the subject of this article to read the transformation of the technical object, the art of Gor- don Matta-Clark, through the readymade technique of Marcel Duchamp. In this context, the works of Gordon Matta-Clark will be discussed first. Afterwards, the transformation of the technical object will be explained and the points where Gordon Matta-Clark and Marcel Duchamp meet via readymade technique will be emphasized.

Mimari nesneler bir tasarım varlığıdır aynı zamanda bir endüstri ürünüdür yani teknik nesnedir. Böyle bir nesnenin sanat statüsüne taşınmış hali ise hazır nesnedir. Büyük ölçekli heykeller diyebileceğimiz Matta-Clark’ın eserleri fotoğraf, film, video, desen gibi unsurlar ile günümüze aktarılırlar.
Teknik nesnenin dönüşümü yani Gordon Matta-Clark’ın sanatını Marcel Duchamp’ın hazır nesne (readymade) tekniği üzerinden okumaya çalışmak bu makalenin konusu olacaktır. Bu bağlamda makalede ilk olarak Gordon Matta-Clark’ın eserleri ele alınacaktır. Sonrasında ise teknik nesnenin dönüşümü açıklanarak Gordon Matta-Clark ile Marcel Duchamp’ın hazır nesne tekniği üzerinden birleştikleri noktalar üzerinde durulacaktır.
