In this study, bird species in and around Yüksekova Nehil Reed (Hakkari-Turkey) were investigated. The study which performed one year took place between April 2011 and April 2012. As a result of the observations 123 species and 1 subspecies were recorded in 38 families from 17 orders. It was found that 23.4% (n:29) of these species were resident, 49.2% (n: 61) were summer visitors, 6.5% (n:8) were winter visitors, and 21.0% (n:26) were transit migrant species. As a result of evaluation of these bird species according to IUCN criteria; it was observed that 3 species were endangered, 5 species were near threatened, 3 species were vulnerable, 112 species were least concern and 1 species was not in scope. Population densities of bird species presented in Nehil Reed and its surroundings according to seasons was processed in digital maps.
Bu çalışmada Yüksekova Nehil Sazlığı (Hakkâri-Turkiye) ve yakın çevresinde bulunan kuş türleri araştırıldı. Bir yıl süren çalışma Nisan 2011-Nisan 2012 ayları arasında gerçekleştirildi. Gözlemler sonucunda 17 takıma ait 38 familyada yer alan 123 tür ve 1 alttür tespit edildi. Bu türlerin % 23,4 (n:29) Yerli, % 49,2 (n:61) Yaz ziyaretçisi, % 6,5 (n:8) Kış ziyaretçisi, % 21,0 (n:26) Transit göçer tür olduğu belirlendi. Bu kuş türlerinin IUCN kriterlerine göre değerlendirilmesi sonucunda; 3 türün Endangered, 5 türün Near threatened, 3 türün Vulnerable, 112 türün Least concern statüsünde ve 1 türün kapsamda olmadığı görüldü. Nehil Sazlığı ve çevresinde belirlenen kuş türlerinin mevsimlere göre popülasyon yoğunlukları sayısal haritalara işlendi.
