Bu çalışmanın amacı, İzmir ve çevresinde sıkça gözlenen Geraniaceae familyasına ait türleri belirlemek ve teşhis etmektir. Bu çalışmada Geranium ve Erodium cinsleri belirlenip teşhis edilmiştir. İki cinse ait toplam yedi tür belirlenmiştir. Bu türlerin sistematik özellikleri tanımlanmış ve özellikleri şekillerle desteklenmiştir. Sonuç olarak türlerin tanımı daha kolay hale gelmiştir. Tanımlanan türler; Geranium molle, G.dissectum, G.rotundifolium, Erodium moschatum, E.malacoides, E.cicutarium, E.Botrys’dir.
Description and diagnosis of weed species of some genus in Geraniaceae family in Izmir and its environment the objective of this study is to determine and identify the species belonging to Geraniaceae family which are frequently observed in İzmir and its environment. In this study, the species of genus named as Geranium and Erodium have been sampled and diagnosed. A total amount of seven species belonging to two genus have been identifed. The systematic properities of these species have been presented and the identification of these properities are supported by figures. As a result, the identification of species has became easier. The species which have been determined are as follows: G. molle, G. dissectum, G. rotundifolium, E. moschatum, E. malacoides, E. cicutarium, E. botrys.
