Özet

The aim of the study is to determine the factors effecting infant low birth weight using quantile regressions. For this purpose, the quantile regression method was used to investigate the factors causing low birth weight. The effects of factors such as mother's education status, income, and mother's place of residence were examined by using data 2018 of the Turkish population and health survey. The survey is carried out every 5 years by the Hacettepe University of Population Studies. Low income, living in eastern Turkey, and being uneducated were discovered to be crucial factors in the infants' low birth weight.
