Abstract

Animals treated with ACTH show evidence of stress and lymphatic involution (Everaus et al., 1997). Profiles of circulating leucocytes were also affected (Stevenson and Taylor, 1988). Although many researchers have investigated the effects of stress and vitamin C on some blood parameters the effects of Vitamin C on alpha naphthyl acetate esterase (ANAE) have not been adequately investigated yet. Therefore, it would be useful to establish the effects of vitamin C on ANAE activity and some blood parameters in chicken stressed by ACTH.
