Özet

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is the most common endocrine disorder worldwide; its frequency is increasing and has already reached epidemic proportions. Foot ulcers and amputation are the chief complications of DM and the most significant causes of morbidity and mortality in diabetic patients .The aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between the level of amputation and serum HbA1c, cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels in patients who underwent amputation at any level in the lower extremities due to diabetic foot.
