In this study, an ergonomic, low-budget detector design was developed with recycling products for the detection of gold or all precious metals. This design has created a system that provides an audible warning against precious metals approximately 2-3 meters underground. The part of this system, which we call the search tip, has been insulated with a plastic material. The thickness, electric field permeability and structure of the insulated material have been investigated. This system can be integrated with smart hardware to obtain a more advanced version. This modular structure also allows the system to become a commercial product in the future.
