Abstract

The optimum time for diagnosis of pregnancy using B-mode real-time ultrasound transabdominally in different stages of gestation was studied in 1300 ewes. The ultrasonic results were compared with lambing records, accuracy, sensitivity; spesificity, positive and negative predictive values. It was concluded that, an accurate and sensitive diagnosis of pregnancy by real-time transabdominal ultrasonography can successfully be made 100% accuracy between 61-81(st) days and 94.10% accuracy between 46 and 60(th) days pregnancy in sheep.
