Effects of ascorbic acid and vitamin E on performance and hematological parameters of Japanese quails under high ambient temperature in Sanliurfa

Özet

The present study was carried out to determine the effects of dietary ascorbic acid (AA) and vitamin E on performance and some hematological parameters of Japanese quails reared under high ambient temperature (32.9 to 36.1 degrees C). A total of 240 Japanese quails, 7 day old were randomly assigned to control and three experimental groups. They were fed with a basal diet or the basal diet supplemented with 500 mg/kg AA (group 1), 250 mg/kg vitamin E (group II) and 500 mg/kg AA+250 mg/kg vitamin E (group III).
