In recent years, the renewable energy source is used as an electric source to reduce energy demand and environmental pollution which occurred by using fossil fuels. Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is a good candidate to solve this problem. At low temperature, the PEMFC can produce high efficiency so it can be used for residential, office, and mobile applications. This paper discusses the control of (PEMFC) stack by using DC-DC cascade boost converter which has PI controller connected at PEMFC stack output. The PEMFC is designed independently of cascade boost converter and its characteristic is analyzed. The dynamic model of DC-DC cascade boost converter is analyzed and simulated and controlled by PI controller. All simulations are prepared in Matlab/SIMULINK.
