Hz. İbrâhim’e dair Eski Ahit ile Yeni Ahit’te yer alan bazı bilgiler, Kur’ân-ı Kerim’de konu edinmemektedir. Buna mukabil Kur’ân’da anlatılan bazı hususların da ilgili kaynaklarda ele alınmadığı görülmek-tedir. Nitekim Tevrat ve İncil’de Hz. İbrâhim’in hicret etmesine yer verilmesine karşın onun ateşe atılması olayına değinilmemektedir. Ancak Hz. İbrâhim’in örnek şahsiyeti, toplumunu tevhide davet etmesi ve toplumu tarafından ateşe atılması meselesi Kur’ân-ı Kerim’in farklı sûrelerinde geniş bir şekilde anlatılmaktadır.
Hz. İbrâhim’in nerede veya hangi coğrafyada ateşe atıldığı ile il-gili Kur’ân-ı Kerim’de bir işaret yer almamaktadır. Bu nedenle bu hu-susta tefsir kaynaklarında farklı yerlerden söz edildiği görülmektedir. Erken dönem tefsir kaynaklarında Hz. İbrâhim’in ateşe atılması olayı-nın; Irak’ın Sevâd bölgesinde yer alan bir yerleşim yeri olan Kûsâ’da gerçekleştiği belirtilirken, çağdaş bazı müfessirler olayın Harran veya Şanlıurfa’da vuku bulduğunu ifade etmektedirler.
Bu çalışmada tefsir kaynakları ışığında Hz. İbrâhim’in ateşe atıl-dığı yer hakkındaki bilgilere yer verilecektir.
Some information about prophet Abraham in the Old Testament and in the New Testament is not addressed the Qur’an. However, it is seen that some of the issues described in the Qur’an are not discussed in these sources. Indeed, in the Torah and the Gospel, the prophet Abraham’s emigration is included, but the event of thrown into the fire is not mentioned. However, the issue of prophet Abraham's exemplary personality, his inviting his community to monotheism, and his being thrown into the fire by his society are extensively described in different parts of the Qur’an.
There is no sign in the Qur'an about where or in which region the prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire. For this reason, it can be seen that there are different places mentioned in the commentary sources. Early sources of exegesis indicate that the prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire in Kusa, a settlement in the Sevad region of Iraq. Some contemporary commentators state that the incident took place in Harran or Şanlıurfa.
In this study, information about the place where the prophet Ab-raham was thrown into the fire in the light of exegesis sources will be included.
