Abstract

The efficiency of education, which is considered as a communication activity, depends on the

nature of the communication. Depending on the diversity of communication brought by the

developing technology, communication and language skills are a distinctive feature among

expected knowledge and skills that an individual has to have in order to adapt to life. Reading

and listening / listening comprehension skills, speech and writing are speaking skills.

"Listening" is a distinctive feature of these skills, which are called the four basic language skills

in the field writing. Indeed, the prerequisite is to understand, the most effective and shortest way

of understanding is through effective "listening".

Listening is one of the basic ways of communication and learning, and it is the process of

understanding, interpreting and evaluating the given message correctly. Listening; has an

important place for effective communication and education. For this reason, the training of

listening skill in all levels of education should be emphasized with care. Studies aimed at

improving this skill should not lag behind studies of other language skills. Research needs to be

intensified in topics that are needed in the field of listening and learning. In order to be able to

direct the work to be done in the field of listening education, it is necessary to determine the

previous work and to subject it to content analysis. Field researchers will only be able to sign

research that contributes to the field.

The purpose of this research, published between the years of 2005-2017 in Turkey, "Turkish

Listening Skills" of research in the areas of learning; to determine the trends of subject areas,

species, methods, distribution over years, sampling characteristics.
