This study was performed between December 2000 May 2005 to detect parasitic diarrhoea agents in neonatal and young calves. In this period, faecal samples were obtained from 231 neonatal and young calves. Age of the calves ranged from I day to 8 months. Faecal samples were examined using native Lugol's solution, Fulleborn's salty water technique and modified Ziehl-Neelsen staining technique for Cryptosporidium. The parasitological examination revealed that 188 (81.3%) of the calves were infected with one or more parasitic agents.
