Özet

 Optimization aims to reduce costs, find the most suitable point and values. The Nelder-Mead simplex (NMS) method, which is a search algorithm used in optimization, can be applied to nonlinear minimization problems. Weight optimization of cantilever beams is a common problem to minimize production cost, and prior until now, a variety of techniques have been tried to optimize the material's weight in order to lower production costs. In this study, it is investigated the applicability of the NMS method for weight optimization of the cantilever beam.
