Objective: This study aims to determine the water quality criteria of the Bendimahi Stream and to evaluate its usability for human consumption, irrigation, and fisheries. Materials and Methods: In this study, water temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, oxygen saturation, salinity, and turbidity of the Bendimahi Stream were determined by in-situ measurements and observations, while parameters such as Ca, Mg, total hardness, Cl, CO₃, HCO₃, total alkalinity, NO₂, NO₃, NH₃, SO₄, P, K, Al, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Cr, F, and CN were analyzed in the laboratory in monthly periods for one year.
Results: In this study, the water quality parameters of the Bendimahi Stream, as specified in the materials and methods section were analyzed, the findings were given in tables , and and the usability of the stream for drinking water, irrigation and fishing purposes was evaluated.
Conclusion: In terms of drinking water quality, the stream falls into Class I for parameters such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, dissolved oxygen saturation, chloride, nitrate, nitrite, sulfate, potassium, copper, aluminum, total iron, zinc, and cyanide; Class II for ammonium-ammonia, pH, chromium, fluoride, and phosphorus; and Class III for manganese.
