Abstract

It has been shown that ellagic acid (EA) normalizes the activities of antioxidative enzymes, decreases the levels of inflammatory cytokines, and modulate the expression of apoptotic protein. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of EA on levels of sialic acid (SA) and cardiac markers in isoproterenol (ISO)-induced MI in rats.
