4th International Conference on Pioneer and Academic Research, Konya, Türkiye, 26 - 27 Mayıs 2026, ss.136-138, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
This study examines the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) use in engineering laboratories on
student performance. Specifically, it addresses the contributions of AI-assisted laboratory applications to
the learning process of electrical and electronics engineering students. With the accelerating digital
transformation in engineering education today, AI-based simulations, intelligent measurement systems, and
automated feedback mechanisms are widely used in laboratory training. These technologies facilitate
students' ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications and improve their problemsolving
skills. The research focuses particularly on design circuit applications in digital electronics, analog
electronics, and basic electronics courses. It was observed that the use of AI-assisted circuit design tools
resulted in students performing error analysis faster, achieving greater success in circuit optimization, and
increasing laboratory efficiency. Furthermore, it was determined that students' interest in the courses
increased, they took a more active role in the experimental processes, and their academic success was
positively affected. In conclusion, it was assessed that the integration of AI technologies into engineering
laboratories is a significant element in improving the quality of learning in electrical and electronics
engineering education.
