This study was conducted to identify the taxa of the genus Astragalus L. distributed within the borders of Van Province. Specimens belonging to the genus were collected during field studies carried out between 2014- 2024 and were evaluated together with data from previous studies. A total of 134 Astragalus taxa were identified in Van Province. Among these, 26 taxa were determined to be endemic and 6 were classified as rare. The conservation status of the endemic and rare taxa is as follows: 1 taxon is categorized Critically (CR), 5 taxa are endangered (EN), 11 taxa are vulnerable (VU), 6 taxa are near threatened (NT), 7 taxa are of least concern (LC), and 2 taxa are data deficient (DD). This study contributes significantly to the documentation of Astragalus diversity in Van Province and provides valuable data for regional floristic research.
