Cybersecurity is a vital institution aimed at protecting freedom of communication, property rights, and many other important rights—most notably the privacy of personal life against cyberattacks. Nations facing threats in the digital realm have expanded the scope of cybersecurity to include the protection of national security, the economy, and public order. Ensuring cybersecurity has become a primary objective influencing state policies. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the Cybersecurity Law No. 7545, dated March 19, 2025—which introduces significant regulations in the cybersecurity management system—on Türkiye’s cybersecurity architecture; to analyze how this law has guided the structural and functional transformations in Türkiye’s cybersecurity system; and to assess its contribution to the field of cybersecurity. The study, which employed document analysis—a qualitative research method—found that the new law has contributed to an increase in the level of cyber resilience in both public institutions and the private sector, as well as to greater public awareness of cybersecurity.
