Özet
Imipramine, a tricyclic antidepressant, can cause a variety of side effects in case of overdose, including blurred vision, dry mouth, dizziness, weight loss and loss of appetite, anxiety, insomnia, crying spells, and tachycardia. Therefore, the accurate and safe determination of imipramine is of great importance. In this study, a potentiometric method for the determination of imipramine was developed that offers high sensitivity, reliability, and low cost, while also requiring no advanced expertise. For this purpose, a silica coated imipramine printed polymer based PVC membrane potentiometric sensor was prepared for the determination of imipramine. The developed imipramine-selective sensor demonstrated high sensitivity and high selectivity. The chemical and morphological structure of the synthesized ionophore was confirmed by FTIR and SEM analyses. The linear working range of the imipramine-selective sensor was determined to be 5.0 × 10–12–1.0 × 10–2 M, and the limit of detection (LOD) was 2.5 × 10–12 M. Furthermore, the sensor exhibited a short response time (10 s), and a wide pH working range (1.96–8.13). The sensor was successfully applied to the analysis of a pharmaceutical preparation and physiological serum.
