Günümüzde orta yoğunlukta lif levha (MDF) üretiminde farklı tür ağaçlara ait odun yongaları kullanılmakta-dır. Bu çalışmada, orta yoğunlukta lif levha (MDF) üretimi olarak karaçam (Pinus nigra J.F. Arnolds subsp.) odu-nuna ait yongalar kullanılarak üretilen levhalar üzerinde mekanik, fiziksel, formaldehit emisyon testi ve yüzey pürüzlülüğüne ait özellikler araştırılmış olunup, elde edilen sonuçlar MDF üretiminde istenilen standart değerlere göre hangi sonuçları verdiği belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kalınlık 9.19 mm, yoğunluk değeri 712.37 kg/m3, rutubet %5.01, kalınlığına şişme (24 saat) % 14.12 ve su alma (24 saat) %41.28, yüzeye dik çekme direnci 0.78 N/mm2, elastikiyet modülü 2992.87 N/mm2eğilme mukavemeti 28.55 N/mm2, tolüen testi 159 cm, formaldehit emisyon testi 10.30 mg/100 gr ve yüzey pürüzlülüğü değerleri ise Raiçin 3.18 μm ve Rziçin 23.43 μm olarak bulun-muştur. Bu sonuçlar neticesinde, yoğunluğun, rutubet değerinin, levha kalınlığının, formaldehit emisyon testi için E2 standardını ve yüzey pürüzlülüğüne ait parametrelerinin, yüzeye dik çekme direncinin, eğilme mukavemetinin ve elastikiyet modülünün istenilen standart değerleri açısından sağladıkları belirlenirken, yüzey sertliğinin, kalın-lığına şişme testinin ve su alma testinin ise standart değerlerini sağlamadığı görülmüştür

This study investigates the mechanical, physical, formaldehyde emission tests, and surface roughness properties of boards produced using wood chips from black pine (Pinus nigraJ.F. Arnolds subsp.). The results obtained are compared to the desired standard values for MDF production. According to the results, the thickness is 9.19 mm,the density is 712.37 kg/m3, the moisture content is 5.01%, thickness swelling (24 h) is 14.12%, and water absorption (24 h) is 41.28%. The surface perpendicular tensile strength is 0.78 N/mm2, the modulus of elasticity is 2992.87 N/mm2, bending strength is 28.55 N/mm2, toluene test is 159 cm, formaldehyde emission test is 10.30 mg/100 g, and the surface roughness values are Ra= 3.18 μm and Rz= 23.43 μm. Based on these results, it was determined that the density, moisture content, board thickness, formaldehyde emission test met the E2 standard, while the parameters related to surface roughness, surface perpendicular tensile strength, bending strength, and modulus of elasticity also met the desired standard values. However, it was observed that the surfacehardness, thickness swelling test, and water absorption test did not meet the standard values.ubsp.).
