Amaç: Daha az tedavi süresi ile daha estetik ortodontik tedaviye duyulan ihtiyaç yetişkin hastalar arasında şeffaf plaklarla yapılan ortodontik tedavileri daha popüler hale getirmiştir. Bu olgu sunumunda moderate çapraşıklığı olan hastanın şeffaf plak ile tedavisi amaçlanmaktadır.
Olgu Sunumu: Estetik şikayetlerle başvuran 33 yaşındaki iskeletsel ve dental Sınıf I maloklüzyona sahip kadın hastanın klinik muayenesinde, 3 mm overjet ve 2,3 mm overbite saptanmıştır. Aynı zamanda 12 numaralı ve 22 numaralı dişlerde distal rotasyonlar görülmüştür. Hastanın taraması iTero Element 2 (Align Technology) cihazı ile yapılarak ağız içi mevcut durumu dijital olarak bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmıştır. ClinCheck tedavi planı oluşturulmak üzere reçeteler oluşturulup Invisalign Technology firmasına gönderilmiştir. Hem alt hem üst çenesinde moderate çağraşıklığı bulunan hastanın Invisalign şeffaf plakları (Align Technology Inc, Santa Clara, Calif) geldikten sonra ataşman plağının uyumu kontrol edilmiş ve ataşmanları yapıştırılmıştır. Hastaya 7 gün geçtikten sonra bir sonraki plağa geçmeleri söylenmiştir. Tedavi sonu retansiyon protokolü için hastanın alt ve üst çene sabit retainer yapılarak tedavileri bitirilmiştir.
Sonuç: Hastanın tedavisi 12 ayda tamamlandı. Hasta tedavi sonunda kabul edilebilir estetik bir profile sahip oldu. Angle sınıf I ilişki ve ideal overjet, overbite elde edildi. Şeffaf plak tedavisi ile hastanın daha iyi estetik, konfor ve ağız hijyeni sağlandı.
Aim: The need for more aesthetic orthodontic treatment with less treatment time has made orthodontic treatments with clear aligners more popular among adult patients. In this case report, it is aimed to treat a patient with moderate crowding with clear aligners.
Case Report: In the clinical examination of a 33-year-old female patient with skeletal and dental Class I malocclusion, who applied with aesthetic complaints, 3 mm overjet and 2.3 mm overbite were detected. At the same time, distal rotations were observed in teeth numbers 12 and 22.
The patient’s scan was performed with the iTero Element 2 (Align Technology) device, and the current state of the mouth was digitally transferred to the computer environment. Prescriptions were created and sent to Invisalign Technology to create a ClinCheck treatment plan.
After the arrival of Invisalign clear aligners (Align Technology Inc, Santa Clara, Calif) of the patient with moderate convergence in both the lower and upper jaws, the compatibility of the attachment plate was checked and the attachments were adhered. The patient was instructed to switch to the next aligner after 7 days. For the end of treatment retention protocol, the patient’s lower and upper jaw fixed retainers were made and the treatment was completed.
Conclusion: The patient’s treatment was completed in 12 months. The patient had an acceptable aesthetic profile at the end of the treatment. Angle class I relationship and ideal overjet, overbite were obtained. Better aesthetics, comfort and oral hygiene of the patient were achieved with clear aligner treatment.
