Özet

Adilcevaz ilçesi Bitlis ilinin hem alan ve hem de üretim bakımından ceviz üretiminin en yoğun yapıldığı ilçesidir. İlçe ceviz yetiştiriciliği açısından köklü bir kültüre sahip olup, ceviz yetiştiriciliği için optimum koşullara sahiptir. Cevizle ismi özdeşleşen bir ilçedir. Uzun yıllardır ceviz festivalleri ile adının ülke sınırları içinde duyulmasını sağlamıştır. Tescillenmiş standart cevizler içinde Adilcevaz-13 ve Kazankaya isimleri ile yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada ceviz yetiştiriciliğinin genel durumu yetiştiricilerle yapılan anket sonucunda belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada toplam 64 üreticiye 48 soru yöneltilmiş ve verilen cevaplarla Adilcevaz ilçesinin ceviz yetiştiriciliğindeki genel durumu, yapılan uygulamalar ve karşılaşılan sorunlar ve bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Anket; ceviz yetiştiriciliğinin en yoğun yapıldığı mahalle ve köylerde yürütülmüştür. Anket sonuçlarına göre; Ankete katılan üreticilerin %50’ den fazlasının yaşlarının 50 ve üzerinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ankete katılan üreticilerin çoğunu çiftçiler oluşturmuştur. Çiftçilerin genellikle hastalık ve zararlılarla mücadelede kimyasal mücadele yöntemlerine başvurdukları, cevizlerde en fazla görülen zararlının elma iç kurdu, en fazla görülen hastalığın ise ceviz antraktoz hastalığı olduğu belirlenmiştir. İlçede ceviz bahçelerinin genellikle salma sulama sistemi ile sulandığı ve genel anlamda meyve bahçelerinin karışık meyve tür ve çeşitlerle rastgele kurulduğu saptanmıştır. Yeni kurulan kapama ceviz bahçeleri mevcut olup hem yerli hem de standart çeşitlerin bulunduğu saptanmıştır. Son yıllarda Tarım ve Orman İl Müdürlüğü’nün teşvik ve katkıları ile ilçede önemli bahçe kurulumları yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile Adilcevaz ilçesinde ceviz yetiştiriciliğinde karşılaşılan sorunlar tespit edilmeye çalışılmış ve bu sorunların çözülmesine yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

Adilcevaz district is the district of Bitlis province where walnut production is most intense in terms of both area and production. The district has a deep-rooted culture in terms of walnut cultivation and has optimum conditions for walnut cultivation. It is a district whose name is identified with Walnut. It has made its name known within the borders of the country with its walnut festivals for many years. It is among the registered standard walnuts under the names Adilcevaz-13 and Kazankaya. In this study, the general situation of walnut cultivation was determined as a result of a survey conducted with growers. In the study, 48 questions were asked to a total of 64 producers and the answers given were aimed to present the general situation in walnut cultivation in Adilcevaz district, the practices applied and the problems encountered, and to present solutions to these problems. The survey was conducted in the neighborhoods and villages where walnut cultivation is most intense. According to the survey results; It was determined that more than 50% of the producers participating in the survey were 50 and over. Most of the producers participating in the survey were farmers. It has been determined that farmers generally use chemical control methods to combat diseases and pests, and the most common pest in walnuts is the scab disease (Venturia inaequalis) and the most common disease is walnut anthracnose (Gnomonia leptostyla). It has been determined that walnut gardens in the district are generally irrigated with a flood irrigation system and that fruit gardens are generally established randomly with mixed fruit species and varieties. There are newly established covered walnut orchards and it has been determined that there are both local and standard varieties. In recent years, important garden installations have been made in the district with the incentives and contributions of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. With this study, the problems encountered in walnut cultivation in Adilcevaz district were tried to be determined and suggestions were presented to solve these problems.
