Özet

In this study, on the basis of geological and geotechnical surveys, the landslide mechanism and the effects of landslide were determined and laboratory and insitu tests were conducted to identify the slide mechanism of this landslide. The detail map of landslide was prepared and dimensions of this landslide were determined after the field study. Then, undisturbed and disturbed soil specimens were taken from in order to determine the geotechnical characteristics of the Handere Formation in the laboratory. Landslide mechanism, effects and measures were investigated in this study with using the slope stability software Silde v6.0. The results show that these landslides were occurred due to extreme rainfall on December, 2001. After the heavy rainfall, soils were heavily saturated and effective stresses decreased due to increased pore pressure. Also, dip and dip direction of joints in Handere Formation were played a major role in the occurrence of landslides in the study area.
