© 2018 T.C. Milli Egitim Bakanligi.Güngör Dilmen (1930-2012) has made a name on Turkish drama much rather by the games that inspired from history and mythology. Dilmen, who started the game writing in the 1960s, is a very productive writer. The author, who chose subjects from mythology and history in particular, tried to deal with the subjects in a contemporary approach within the possibilities of the theater. In Baghdad Hatun game, the subject was taken from the history. The theme of transformation of personal passion into a destructive greed for power has been conveyed through the biography of Baghdad Hatun. Dilmen tried to reflect the historical reality as it is, however game people portrayed focusing on "power ambition". In the game, the passion of power and the tragedies that it caused which was concretized by shifting all kinds of human values to obtain the power of the state has been narrated in prominence of historical reality. In this study, the theatral structure of Baghdad Hatun was examined and the dramatic structure of the drama was tried to be determined. However, the content of the drama was analyzed and the relation with the dramatic structure was also examined.
