YÜZÜNCÜ YIL ÜNİVERSİTESİ KREDİ YURTLAR KURUMUNDA KALAN ÖĞRENCİLERİN REKREASYON ETKİNLİKLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Özet

Bu araştırma üniversitede öğrenim görmekte olan ve yurtta ikamet eden öğrencilerin rekreatif amaçlı faaliyetlerini değerlendirme amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören ve Kredi Yurtlar Kurumu Yurdunda kalan %53,8'i erkek %46,2’si kadın toplam 301 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin %24,6'sı Edebiyat Fakültesinde, %17,3'ü Eğitim Fakültesinde, %7,3'ü İktisat Fakültesi, %14,0 İlahiyat Fakültesi, %7,0 Meslek Yüksekokulu, %4,3'ü Beden Eğitimi Yüksekokulu, %4,3'ü Tıp Fakültesi, %3,0 Veterinerlik Fakültesi, %6.3 Ziraat Fakültesi, %9,3 Mühendislik fakültesini temsil etmekteydi. Araştırma tarama modeline uygun şekilde yapılarak, beşli likert formatında hazırlanan ölçek ile toplanmıştır. Analizlerde parametrik test uygulamalarından olan independent t-test ve Anova testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; öğrencilerin boş zaman etkinliklerinde yaş, bir işte çalışıp çalışmama durumu ve aylık yaptıkları harcama değişkenlerinde anlamlı herhangi bir farklılık bulunmazken, cinsiyet ve okudukları fakülte değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Ayrıca öğrencilerin öncelikli olarak yaptıkları ilk beş rekreasyon etkinlikleri ise, müzik dinlemek, arkadaş sohbetine katılmak, çay bahçesine ve sahile gitmek spor yapmak ve kişisel hobileri ile uğraşmak olarak belirlenmiştir. 

This research was conducted to evaluate recreational activities of students who study at our university and reside at the dormitory. The sample of the study consists of 301 students that study at YuzuncuYil University and reside at dormitories. 53,8% of participants are male and 46,2% are female. 24.6% of the students are in the Faculty of Literature, 17.3% are in the Faculty of Education, 7.3% are in the Faculty of Economics, 14.0% are in the Faculty of Divinity, 7.0% are in Vocational School, 4,3% of Faculty of Medicine, 3,0% of Veterinary Faculty, 6.3% of Faculty of Agriculture, 9,3% of Faculty of Engineering. The research was done in accordance with the screening model and data was collected with the scale prepared in five-likert format. Parametric test applications such as independent t-test and Anova test were applied. There was no significant difference in the leisure time activities of the students in terms of age, working status and monthly spending, but there were significant differences in variables according to gender and the faculty they attend. The top five recreational activities they do are listening to music, participating in friends' chat, going to tea gardens and beach, playing sports and dealing with personal hobbies.
