Acquiring knowledge has been one of the passions that humanity has been unable to give up since ancient times. With the advancement of technological development along with the developments in science, productivity has increased in many sectors, which has brought about economic development. Similarly, technological development in the agricultural sector has been one of the most important factors accelerating economic development. Training and publication activities are of great importance in transferring these developments to farmers operating in the agricultural sector. It is aimed to increase the knowledge, skills and income of farmers through farmer training and extension activities, thus making agricultural production efficient and sustainable by increasing product quality and standards. These activities must be carried out in a manner that addresses farmer needs, is practice-based, takes into account regional differences, and is on-site and in the most appropriate time, with the participation of all stakeholders and taking their opinions and suggestions. In this context, it is important to prepare and implement cooperation protocols on training and publication with relevant institutions and organizations. In this study generally; Agricultural education and extension issues in Turkey, as well as their importance, the effects of agricultural education and extension activities on the relevant stakeholders, the status of the institutions and organizations providing these activities and their contributions to the sector, and the role of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry are emphasized.
