Özet

Verbascum is a plant with many species and distribution in the world. It is also a traditionally used medicine. In this study, Verbascum Longipedicellatum was used as plant material. Verbascum extracts with different polarities were obtained using the partition method. The flowers and buds of the plant were used for this process. After this process, four extracts were obtained and coded as methanol-chloroform (MK), verbascum-chloroform (VK), verbascumethylacetate (VE), and methanol-water (MS). Their phenolic contents and amounts were determined by HPLC method. Among these phenolics, epicatechin, routine; epicatechin, ferrulic acid, catechin; routine, epicatechin, ferrulic acid, foloridzin; epicatechin, foloridzin were in MK, VK, VE and, MS, respectively. Also, these are the most prominent phenolic compounds. The prominent phenolic compound due to increased polarity is foloridzin. Keywords: verbascum, phenolic compunds, HPLC, partitioning method.
