Pregnancy toxemia is characterised by hypoglycemia, hyperketonaemia and the increase of fatty acid concentration in plasma at the term of pregnancy because of inadequate nutrition and stress (Wastney et al., 1983). Having more than one foetus is one of the main reason that triggered the pregnancy toxemia (Bosteldt and Hamadeh, 1990).
